Robert Morin's Journal d'un coopérant (The Volunteer) and Papa à la chasse aux lagopèdes (Daddy goes Ptarmigan Hunting) as well as Catherine Martin's Trois temps après la mort d'Anna (Mourning for Anna) are now in video clubs and on sale in most Renaud-Bray and Archambault stores.
GRAND PRIX DU CAM 2011
Coop Vidéo has been selected as one of the nine cultural organizations finalists for the 26th Grand Prix du Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM). According to CAM's press release, Coop Vidéo was noticed by the jury for its exemplary support of independent film, its catalog, which now represents an important part of film heritage and its openness to emerging artists. The winner
of the Grand Prix will be announced on March 29th.
JUTRA 2011 AWARDS - TROIS TEMPS APRÈS LA MORT D'ANNA (Mourning
for Anna)
Guylaine Tremblay is in nomination for Best Actress and Michel La Veaux for Best Cinematography. The winners will be unveiled on Sunday March the 13th during the gala which will be broadcasted by Radio-Canada.
PRIX COOP VIDÉO 2011
For a third consecutive year, Coop Vidéo will give out its award to a short feature for it's best direction at the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois on Sunday the 27th of February. Rafaël Ouellet, director, Marie-Claude Poulin, producer at Item 7 and Jean-Pierre St-Louis, director of cinematography and member of Coop Vidéo will form this year's jury.

will be both screened at the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois at the Cinémathèque québécoise - Salle Claude Jutra on Monday night the 21st in the presence of Robert Morin and Tuesday night the 22nd in the presence of Catherine Martin.

by Catherine Martin appears among the five finalists for the AQCC (Association québécoise des critiques de cinéma) awards in the categorie 2010 Quebec's Best feature film. The winner will be unveiled at the RVCQ's closing night on February the 26th
After Karlovy Vary, Toronto, Vancouver, Moncton, Haifa, Beirout, Sao Paulo, Paris and Santa Barbara the film will now be screened in Belgium at the Festival du film de l'amour de Mons and in South America at the Uruguay International Film Festival as one of "2010 Canada's Top Ten" best canadian features. TROIS TEMPS APRÈS LA MORT D'ANNA is now showing on Illico pay-per-view cable, until February 27, 2011.

by Robert Morin – After winning the award for Best Canadian Film at the FICFA in Moncton (New Brunswick) this summer, JOURNAL D'UN COOPÉRANT recently earned a special mention from the official selection jury at the Festival Internacional de Ronda in Spain. The jury cited the film’s incisive look at NGOs and humanitarian aid in Africa, and its precise direction.
by Catherine Hébert – A documentary road-movie that follows the amazing journey of Marc Roger from Saint-Malo, France to Bamako, Mali. The project has just been awarded a co-production grant from PRIM will be in editing all through winter 2011.

A new assistant coordinator and member services manager joined the team last fall. CLAIRE CHEVALIER worked in France’s independent film industry for six years, and the Co-op is pleased that it will now benefit from her support and expertise.
