Mandate

For thirty years, the Coop Vidéo de Montréal has supported production and creativity, particularly that of its members. Our organization's mandate could be resumed as follows: to promote the emergence of rich, meaningful videographic and cinematographic works, and ensure that access to the means of production and artistic control remain in the hands of the video/filmmakers.

The Coop belongs to its members - filmmakers, technicians and producers - which is what distinguishes it from conventional production houses. Its diverse approaches, in terms of both creativity and modes of production, is our organization's forte and has contributed to its longevity.
