Cadavres exquis

A film by Lorraine Dufour, Ruth de Launière, Jean-Pierre St-Louis

Synopsis

Drama, video, colour, 25 mins., 1996, Québec, Canada, French

The making of the video, Cadavres exquis, was inspired by an eponymous literary exercise invented by the Surrealists at the turn of the century.

Three editor-directors deconstructed love stories told by about 20 people to come up with a new one each. Three imaginary, eccentric, poignant and funny stories are the result: "Qui va à la chasse perd la face" by Lorraine Dufour; "Gars échaudé craint l'eau chaude" by Ruth de Launière and "Dans le doute, obstine-toi" by Jean-Pierre Saint-Louis.
