Même mort il faut s'organiser

Synopsis

Documentary, video and 16mm film, black and white, 30 mins., 1977, Québec, Canada, French

A French filmmaker, disappointed in the aftermath of the revolutions of May, 1968, decides to follow four young activists in their attempt to set up food banks in underprivileged areas. In the wake of their failure, the filmmaker questions them about the validity of cooperatives and community organizing, to the point where he instills in them his own disillusionment. After a year of messing around on his film, the filmmaker quits and returns to France. His 10,000 feet of film end up in the hands of young activists, who decide to make it into a film that shows that failure and hope are by no means contradictory.
